Behind the Name

An Entrepreneur’s Vision

The Cartouche of Power & Protection represents more than the House’s signature motif. It reflects the philosophy on which Stefania Toscano was founded.

Stephanie Chambers founded Stefania Toscano with the belief that true luxury should never be commonplace. In an era of limitless availability, she envisioned a House where rarity is preserved through intentional scarcity, private access, and heirlooms crafted in remarkably limited numbers. Her pursuit of restoring exclusivity to luxury continues to define every collection, ensuring each creation remains as exceptional to own as it is to discover.

A Defining Year

For more than two decades, Stephanie Chambers designed exclusively for herself.

Then, over the course of a single year, a remarkable series of introductions, conversations, and unexpected encounters began to reshape that journey. Leaders from across the international luxury industry—many meeting her independently of one another—offered observations that echoed the same belief: her designs belonged on a
global stage.

Whether describing the collection as something that would resonate in Dubai, encouraging her to build the House, or opening doors to relationships she never anticipated, each conversation became another chapter in the story of Stefania Toscano.

Together, these archival moments became the foundations of the House, a story only New York could write.

With enduring gratitude to those who saw a vision greater than the one first imagined.

That Would Sell in Dubai.

While attending the Viennese Opera Ball at Cipriani in New York City, an international sanctions lawyer complimented the multi-strand pearl necklace Stephanie Chambers had designed and was wearing. What began as a passing conversation became an invitation to discuss why her designs belonged in Dubai—marking the first of many conversations that would ultimately lead to the founding of Stefania Toscano.

What began as a chance encounter with the president of a New York bank while waiting for a train after a meeting with an international sanctions lawyer became an enduring friendship. After learning more about the vision, he generously opened his network, leading to an introduction to a partner at an Abu Dhabi strategy firm who happened to be in New York.

Following conversations about the collection and its philosophy, one realization became unmistakable: Stefania Toscano belonged in Dubai. It was the moment the House’s vision expanded from a personal pursuit to an international luxury brand.

During a three-month stay in Dubai, Stephanie privately shared the collection with respected luxury professionals, including the jewelry buyer for Harrods and the Head of Personal Shopping at Bloomingdale’s. As they studied the designs, one observation captured the sentiment of the room:

“It’s vintage. It’s beautiful.”

In an era defined by trends, the collection was recognized for its timeless character. It was another defining moment, affirming that the House’s appeal extended well beyond its origins.

While in Abu Dhabi, Stephanie met with the manager of a distinguished jewelry boutique to share the collection and the philosophy behind the House. After studying the designs and hearing the story behind them, his response was immediate:

“You’re too powerful not to succeed. I await the day I see your name big in the market. The world is waiting for you.”

While in Dubai, Stephanie was introduced to a renowned livery designer and a legend of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Impressed by the collection, the racing legend extended an introduction that grew into an enduring friendship, ultimately welcoming Stephanie into the paddock of the Asian Le Mans Series in Abu Dhabi.

It was more than an invitation. It was another reminder that the House naturally resonated with those who value precision, craftsmanship, and legacy.
The next chapter of the House began with an unexpected perspective. During a meeting at New York’s Baccarat Hotel, an NFL Defensive Coordinator saw immediate potential beyond the women’s collection.

“Football players will want a men’s version.”

That single observation would influence the House’s vision for generations to come.

The House’s manufacturer had spent more than seventy years creating jewelry for some of the world’s most discerning clients, including a former First Lady of the United States. After reviewing the collection, he offered only one request.

“Please make more pearls. No one designs like you.”

It was a simple observation that carried extraordinary weight.

Only later did the pattern begin to reveal itself.

After meeting legends from Formula 1 and endurance racing in Dubai, Stephanie connected with Vincenzo Landino, Founder of Business of Speed for motorsport marketing. Listening to the remarkable sequence of introductions that had unfolded over the previous year, he offered:

“You’re on your way. This is how it always starts.”

It was another reminder that the House had been shaped not by a carefully orchestrated plan, but by one extraordinary introduction after another.
It was a city of remarkable introductions. Over the course of a single year, conversations unfolded with a 24 Hours of Le Mans legend, a celebrated livery designer, a U.S. Navy officer, a producer who had worked alongside Martin Scorsese, four gentlemen sharing financial wisdom over a late evening at Brandy Library, and countless others whose generosity helped shape the House.

The list goes on.

Some cities inspire dreams. New York has a way of introducing you to the people who help build them.

The History of a Passion

Jewelry has been a constant throughout Stephanie Chambers’ life. At fourteen, she sold her first necklace directly to a cruise line dancer she met at a mall in St. Louis, MO. By seventeen, she walked into Neiman Marcus with a collection she had designed herself, hoping for an opportunity. Rather than being turned away, she was invited to Dallas, TX to meet the buying team —an early affirmation that her work belonged in the company of luxury.

Years later, while working at Neiman Marcus, fellow associates including a Dior Beauty representative and the Shoe Salon manager, became collectors after seeing her wear her own creations to events she managed for St. John, David Yurman, Stephen Webster and many more. Around the same time, one of her designs earned recognition in a national jewelry competition, reinforcing what had already become clear: creating jewelry was never simply a hobby.

During her time in PR at Neiman Marcus, renowned jeweler Stephen Webster offered a piece of advice while going up the escalator together that remained with her:

“Never stop designing.”

She never did.

A Designer’s Eye

Inspiration rarely begins with jewelry.

It begins with an unexpected silhouette. The curve of a historic archway. The balance of abstract forms. The neckline of a beautifully tailored garment. The movement of architecture, sculpture, fashion, or the curious observation that something is missing.

Every design begins with a question:

“What would make this unforgettable?”

Rather than following seasonal trends, Stephanie approaches design as an exercise in composition searching for proportion, symbolism, and forms that feel both timeless and unmistakably distinctive. Each creation is intended not simply to complement what is worn, but to become the element that defines it.

A Legacy of Giving

Stefania Toscano was founded on the belief that true legacy extends beyond what we own.

While every heirloom is intended to be passed from one generation to the next, the House also believes in creating meaningful impact today. Hosts who welcome Stefania Toscano into their homes for private viewing gatherings may choose to dedicate a portion of qualifying sales to a nonprofit organization that is meaningful to them.

It is the House’s way of ensuring that every collection has the opportunity to leave a legacy beyond the jewelry itself.

Because the finest legacies are measured not only by what we preserve, but by what we give.

True luxury should offer the private euphoria
of owning what few will ever have.
